If you prefer to bring your own bike seat or pedals, please do so. We'll be happy to fit them for you.

Equipment

Each bike is customized to your specifications, ready when you arrive. Our bikes are all late-model, hand-built, hybrid, Cannondale (or similar) bikes, long on comfort and durability, designed specifically for us. The hybrid, or cross bike means just that - it's a cross between a mountain bike and a road bike. It gives you the best of both worlds, it's lightweight, strong and able to handle most cycling conditions while being more comfortable than a touring bike or mountain bike.

The handlebars are upright like a mountain bike. This gives you a more comfortable riding position. The tires are similar to a mountain bike tire but the tread is designed for both pavement and gravel. Each bike comes with removable toe clips as standard. There are plenty of gears to handle even the steepest hills, should you wish to climb them. When booking, we ask for certain leg measurements so we can fit the bike to your size.

We can also provide trailers and trailer bikes if you plan on a family tour.

Support Van

Each guided tour is supported by a specially equipped 9-15 passenger van with roof-mounted bike racks, extra parts and bikes. Each morning the van delivers your luggage to the next hotel on the route.

On a typical day, riders leave throughout the morning and can be found along the length of the route. The van sweeps the route at intervals during the day giving assistance, providing lifts, making minor repairs or taking any purchases off you that you bought along the way. Whether you're planning on riding a long or short route, you can hail the van as it sweeps by or meet up with it at the pre-arranged rendezvous points marked on the tour. You're welcome to use the van as much as you need.
