    Hi

Visiting the Czech Republic for the first time in July - wondering what the local delicateies are when it comes to food, what do the Czech eat, is it traditinal to have a two or three course meal.

What about drink, heard the Czech beer is good, what about wine and spirit, how cheap is drink ???

Where are good places to eat and drink in Prague, what should one be paying for dinner etc.

Looking forward to hearing from you locals.

Please email me or PM me.

    Many thanks

Pat, for starters, take a look at our Czech Food and Drink page.

As far as what you should be paying for dinner, that largely depends on the location and the restaurant. You can get an idea from the online menu of the Novoměstský pivovar in Prague (in the center) at http://www.npivovar.cz/dokumenty/jl/cz.php or the U Kašpárka (outside of the center) at http://ukasparka.mraveniste.cz/0jidl.html.

You can also read about a few Prague Pubs and Breweries at http://www.myczechrepublic.com/prague/prague_pubs.html.

A great topic to read on these boards is pubs, restaurants.

For ideas on drink prices, try visiting the websites of some of the bars and clubs we list in our Prague Nightlife section. Some of them have their whole drink lists posted online. E.g. try Bugsy's Bar.

    Have fun on your trip!
