    Hello,

we are supposed to take a train (+bus) from Praha to Zamberk ( i think it's quite near to Hradec Králové).

Any idea how much that'd cost?

See the "connection-searcher" www.vlak.cz , available also in English.

My search provided 120,- Kc for a direct bus as the best option.
The cost of a train is about 200,- , you have to switch trains several times, plus you have to buy a so called "Z-card" for another 200,- . This is valid for one year and gives you about 30% discount on railway fares.

    tnx for the info,

i knew about that site, but didn't know there were any prices on there... I think we'll take the bus since we'll have luggage and stuff with us.

    Ah, stupid me...

It is 200,- for a train without the Z-card, 126,- if you have one. Anyway, if you plan to travel just once or twice, the bus is still cheaper.
