Hi, I'm new here and I may be posting something you've already talked about... Hope not... I'm a foreigner and living in CR for almost 3 years and I tried many restaurants in Prague ,in Hradec Kralove and in Brno as much as I can. Those weren't so bad, all right... but yet, I don't think I've met the best dish in CR. Most guide books got the same you-know-what informations as you know... The best things I had till now were sweets made by grandmas of my friends... but I don't have Czech grandma, so I would love to hear your opinions about meals at restaurants or could be products at some shops! Let us know where to go and what to have!! Thank you :wink:
Maybe you should post it in Food & Drink section, so the people who are interested in Czech cuisine will read it. Nevermind, you're new member and you'll post your next question in right section. :wink: I asked same question few weeks ago and I got some replies. Here is it. It depends what kind of restaurant are you looking for, do you want to find some typical czech pub (hospoda) or some restaurant with czech cuisine? And you're right, you can't buy in restaurant good sweet food, like koláče or štrůdl or bábovka. It's always better to eat it in some Czech, especially grandma.
