Hi, I am 22 years old and currently studying in the Netherlands, my native language is Dutch, but I also know good English and good German. I have some students who are from Czech and want to learn some Czech, I red that Czech step by step from Lida Hola is a good method. I also noticed that the textbook part 1 is in English, but part 2 is fully in Czech. For the people who have both books, do you understand part 2 after working through Textbook 1? Or is it very difficult?
I have an older edition of New Czech Step by Step, but not the second book. The Czech Step by Step website ( https://www.czechstepbystep.cz/en/books ) lists the books they offer and the language versions available. It looks like "Česky krok za krokem 2" has an English language version. Update: I just looked at their e-shop and I only see a Czech version for the "Česky krok za krokem 2" e-book. Is that what you saw?
Yes, that was what I saw, the second edition is fully in Czech, will I be able to understand that to some extent after finishing part 1?(which is in English)
I discovered that if you go to the website "issuu", which publishes the e-version of the Czech Step by Step books, you can read some sample pages. That might help you decide if you will be able to understand part 2. I don't know how audio is handled. https://issuu.com/akropolis/docs/cesky_krok_za_krokem_2_issuu_1
