Its very broad. All kinds really. People always look good but the actual 'i must follow fasion' thing seems not to be so strong. More individual style i think perhaps because things are more expensive and parents dont have the spare cash your kiwi parents do. One thing i have noticed is that the girls dont show there tummies with the short tops like here.
Your question is really open ended cos whatever i say someone else will say i'm wrong!!!
    When you going?

I think what "confused" is trying to figure out is what are the influences on Czech fashion... I know here in America the fashion is influenced by European fashion (copied.) What magazines do the kids read there? Do they look at American fashion, or English fashion?

I've heard Europeans think Americans dress badly and are "behind" the trends. Fashion floats over here six to twelve months after it is passe in England...

The Kids read mainly teen magazines like cosmogirls and other mags for teens.
Mainly girls go for anything that comes from the UK and other european countries like Italy.Anything fashionable and trendy they will go for anything.
    There is no limit! :D

Well i am an american in the czech rep. and have traveled around europe and noticed that there is a VERY broad range of style. Music is a HUGE influence to what people wear here just as any where else in the world..... you see people that look like hippies, there are many stores here like Sanu Babu that sell clothing from east asia nepal and india, you find a large american influence like New Yorker thus the name there is also Kenvlo which started in Israel but has an american style and there is also american "skate/ surf" clothing like california companies... Quicksilver and Roxy also DG shoes and Volcom, b/c snowboarding this is very popular. Unlike Paris or Milano's varity of designers there is Pariska ulice here which looks similar to paris and sells high end fashion like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and some boutiques like Yanny near Slovansky dum that sell Dolce and Gabbana and Seven jeans for all mankind! SO just like in america there is a large range of styles not just Abercrombie, that style, to me, coming from california seems to be dying out, it is very common and there is so much more out there.

So i dont think that you can specifically pin point how czechs dress but you can classify their style in many ways like music and hobbies such as snowboarding skating clubbing etc. and there are few distinctions amoung the age groups, i noticed in paris it was very common for high school and university students to wear similar style shoes in puma and addias, but that could just be a generalization, also in italy bright colored zip up jackets [which i have also noticed a style quite like it in england] with the favourite football teams name or the name of the country [also sold here but not really worn by locals] is common, again this may just be a generalization.

these are all observeations that i have made.

great topic i love fashion and my mom is also a designer, so i am very interested in it.

Silverkinguk is right there really is no limit. o and sorry to say but its not common to find "exposed panties" unless it happens to be an accident, its not really a trend.

yes americans do seem to love european fashion but yet many european countries like american fashion

    Hi,
Yea Sanu Babu is more Asian style accessories and things mainly from the Orient.
I use to shop at Kenvelos, it is ok for casual clothing.
Pariska ulice is very hi fi place, many top designer shops and cafes also, unique in its own way.
I remember there was a Nike store around Wenceslas square further down.
Kangol and Planet Hollywood closed down and that was the first time I had gone Czech rep 4 years back ,was sad to see those places close.Still there is TGI Fridays :)
I agree with young people following fashion with music,I seen break dancers, hippies, goths as well as '80s styles so its nice to see a range of things.

    :D
