Hello, I have just joined these message boards and just thought i would introduce myself.My name is Tony and i live in Windsor.Yes the one where the queen did her walkabout today to celebrate her birthday. i would be very interested to hear from anyone in the Czech Republic as it is one of my favourite countries.I lived in Ceska Lipa for 6 months in 1996 and taught English at the grammar school.I have been to Prague many times and have travelled to many other parts of the country from Brno to Plzen and Cesky Krumlov to Liberec.I started to learn Czech when i was there but unfortunately have forgotten most of it,although i can still order a beer I plan to start studying the language again and will spend some time in Prague in the summer. Hi! Ohh...we had a British teacher of english in school when I was young and he left our school cause no one understood him :lol: Especially teachers! Hope you´ll have a nice time here in Prague :wink: BTw. if you still can order beer, it´s not so bad. It´s one of the most important thing in Czech :lol:
Thanks Rommie, i am sure i will have a good time in Prague,it's a great city and i love the beer (obviously). I have a beermat from Pivovarsky Dum on my desk and can't wait to return there. Sorry your English teacher wasn't very good.I hope it wasn't me
Oh Tonny, if you were in Czech 10,11 years ago then it could be you :lol: He definitely was good but he had stayed just for one year. Teacher I had at high school...she was worst :cry: Old woman, probably better in russian... I haven´t heard english since I left high school, 2 years ago, and it´s easy to see :lol: Maybe we´ll meet in Prague. I´m going to go for a short trip there this summer, for first time!! I look forward it so much!!
