Ok, here is my problem. I´m leaving my house in Letovice on the 15th, and my plane leaves at 7am on the 16th. But since it is an out-of-country flight, I want/need to be there at 4am...so...I do not have enough money to stay in a hostel/hotel nor do I want to stay in one...but maybe I´ll have to....it is my LAST resort. I´m thinking I could get a train into Prague anytime on the 15th, but I need to know for sure what time the trams/metro/buses start in Prague every morning. If they start at 4, fine...but if not, then I will need to go to the airport at about midnight on the 15th, check my bags and sleep there... I´m not sure what to do. Anybody know what time the trams/metros/buses start and go? I heard they stop at midnight but then there is one bus every half hour or something, and then I heard everything starts up again at 4am. But I need to make sure it´s true!!!! Or I will be sunk.....
    Thanks for any help!!!! -Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
buses, trams and metro stops running at midnight and start running again at 5AM.
There are some night trams and night busses which run approximately twice an hour. There's no night metro.
For information about public transportation go to http://www.idos.cz

You can take night tram 51 from Dejvická to Divoká Šárka and then take night bus 510 to Letiště Ruzyně. The ride will take 33 minutes. And if you don't know that, Dejvická is an endstation of metro A the green line. You'd have to take the train at 3.10AM in order to be there at 3.43AM. I don't if this will help you or not, I'm not sure whether there are some hostels in that area. You can probably just hang out a little bit in that area, in some pub or so, just enjoying your last night in Prague.
Anyway, here's link to the schedule for those trams and busses you need to take.
Let me know whether it helped you or how decided to solve it.

Thanks!!! I guess I´ll just have to sit down and think about this stuff a little bit, and next time I won´t take a flight so early in the morning! (I just didn´t want to get too messed up with jetlag).
Thanks for your help. I use IDOS for trains but I never knew that I could use it for trams too...guess I should have searched a little more. Thanks!

So what are you gonna do? You gonna stay in the airport whole night or you gonna go to some bar or just hang out in prague?

I am probably going to hang out at the airport, just because I could not find any friends to go with me to prague and I do not want to be wandering around there with 3 bags all night long by myself. And plus the whole thing in London means that I have to get to the airport at 3am to make sure I get through everything in time....So... :) I will be sleeping on the plane, for sure!! Thanks again for your help....
