I thought it would be fun to have some Idea on who is active on this site a lot. That's the reason I have posted this message. I try to visit this site every day, but am not alway's able to do so. It's kind of addictive, so I guess many of the frequent visitors could give some info here. I am here a bit too often I guess. I try to post answers to the messages I can provide any positive input. If I didn't look what's going on, I'm anctius to see what's new. If you are often here, but rarely post, It would be fun to know too! (I like to get to know my audience a bit more ) Hoping to lot's of responses,

I'm on the site daily (surprise, surprise!) and post several times a week. Yes, the boards are addicting! It's great to have the old timers around on a regular basis and it's always exciting to see new members join and participate. I suspect we have a lot of lurkers - c'mon guys, say something once in a while! :wink:

Hey, thanks for the replies!! I'm greatfull for your input, but at the same time a bit dissapointed in the number of reactions. I am sure there are many more addictives here. Come out! I dare you all I think it's fun to read how this site is apreciated by the frequent visitirs, and those members who prefer to read, and learn, insted of posting. This is your chance to start!! Alright, I guess if you're going to dare me... I'm here most weekdays, killing time on my work breaks typically. Most of the time, I admit, I'm a "lurker", as Dana puts it, although some times I feel like I actually have something halfwise intelligent to say. (I was going to wait until you double-dog dared me :lol: , but I guess I'm a pushover!)
Hmm, well, since I started to take a serious interest in my next-door (Czech) neighbor....and then got engaged to him in March, I'm here quite a bit, almost every day. :wink: We're getting married in Prague this summer, and I've been grateful to read people's insights on marriage in CZ, visa questions, etc., etc.; plus, I've read about dozens of places I hope to visit in CZ in the future.

I, too, am a lurker, but am on here just about every day. I feel a bit like a moocher, because I gain so much from this site and have so little to contribute. But to all of the moderators and frequent posters a HUGE thank you! I'm not going to visit the CR until next fall, but can hardly wait. I'm also starting to learn to speak/read Czech and finding that it's quite a challenge. I'm sorry I didn't have the opportunity to learn it as a child. Susan

Maarten, I have stumbled upon this site by the purest coincidence and since then have been visiting at least once a week. I'm a Czech living in Canada and I remember a time when no one knew where Prague was (Siberia? The Balkans?) and the average Canadian's idea of the Czech fashions were head scarfs and rubber boots. Nowadays, when I mention I'm from Prague, the reactions are different to say the least. It seems that just anyone had been in Prague, is planning to travel there or knows someone who had been there. I take great pleasure in reading the nice things you guys are saying about the Czech people and our culture. As far as Czech food is concerned, I always thought that only the natives can like it. Now I giggle when I see foreigners asking for recipes for knedliky and rohliky. Really, this site tickles my pride and I'll continue loggin in. A bientot, Eva
I too visit whenever I'm at the hospital. On average, I enjoy the new posts and responses about 3-4x weekly. What interests me most are those who intellectually contribute posts; what irks me most are immature post-ers who feel that this forum is appropriate for malicious talk and obnoxious comments. No one should leave this site feeling de-valued; rather, uplifted and among friends in cyberspace who gather around a common goal: the promotion fo the beautiful Czech culture and country. Hi there! I´m a new member too and as all the boards are really interesting I want to read them all... 8) That´s why I´m here several times a day. It´s really exciting to read through this excellent site and see what do people abroad think of our lovely country! I have to say that before Ive found these pages I had no idea how huge number of czech- lovers are out there. Just Keep on loving!!!
