czech destination!!

    hi,sorry if there is similar topic..

    i would like to know which is the favourite destination of czech people for summer..or which was your destination of summer 06'?

    Please note that these statistics are for whole year.

    I heard that Bulgaria is more and more popular summer destination every year. Also number of summer trips inside CZ is growing. Anyway among summer destinations abroad - Croatia is far most popular

    That article states it was 9 583 000 vacation trips in 2004, of it 5 552 000 inside CZ (CZ: app. 10 mil. citizens, Czechs travel a lot). Slovakia is very popular summer and also winter holiday destination. Austria, Italy and France are also both summer and winter destinations, but Austria is mainly winter destination and France and Italy are mainly summer destinations. I do not know how many of CZ trips are winter or summer trips, but I think that most of CZ trips are winter ones.

    I AM DOING THIS QUESTION,CAUSE IN GREECE I AM WORKING AT HOTELS IN SUMMER PERIODS THE LAST 5 YEARS AND SUMMER OF 2006 I MET SAW MANY CZECH PEOPLE AND I WAS SURPRISED CAUSE EARLIER YEARS I NEVER MET SOMEONE..

    SORRY I FORGOT TO SAY..THERE WERE ALSO SO MANY CZECH PEOPLE WORKING IN GREEK HOTELS THIS SUMMER..I DONT KNOW,MAYBE THERE WERE A PROGRAMME OR SOMETHING..CAUSE IN ALL THE HOTELS OF CHALKIDIKI(A HOLIDAY PLACE IN GREECE)THERE WERE FOR SURE CZECH PEOPLE WORKING..

    It's probably because Greece from May 1st 2006 officially opened its labour market to eight new EU countries which joined in 2004, among them the Czech Republic.
