I just moved to Brno because of my work and realized that social life can be a big problem for me. So I am looking for english speaking friends. I am 28 years old girl and need some company just to hang around, talk, explore the city, go shoping, drink coffee, etc.
Hi Kika, where are you originally from? I will also be moving to Brno at the end of the December, so we should definitely hang out.
So be prepared- no english. At least you are from BiH, as I can see, so you will understand something...
Not strictly true about lack of english speaking people I am teaching English to czech people and other night we went out for a drink and they spoke czech for half an hour and then next two hours it was solely English, so you just have to meet right groups. Mike
I usually stand in the dictionary section of shops and start to speak to people looking at books in my language and to "czech for foreigners" books. Never been invited yet, but still I get to chat with people. They sure might be freaked out by my approach but hey they all have been pretty nice and helpful.
hey - i do speak english and move to brno in a couple of weeks. will also be there for new year. and i'm pretty good at drinking coffee drop me a line when interested
Hey Kika, Anytime you are available for a chat in English let me know, I am a very patient person and have never had any trouble communicating with people in Brno. Pete
