Apologies for a trivial question - and I certainly don't stay awake at night worrying about it - but can you buy tubes of tomato puree in Prague? All I have seen are small tins. In the UK, every supermarket sells tubes as well as tins - Tesco certainly sell their own brand - which contain more so I don't have to keep buying them, and are better value.
Yes, I thought of that but it's not as concentrated. I'm thinking of compiling a list of things I buy from Tesco in the UK that they don't sell here and writing to them to see if they'll think of stocking them. Nothing to do with tomato puree but I use their 'own brand' moisturiser, which they don't have. In fact, I'm struggling to find any moisturiser, apart from the very expensive L'Oreal creams. There are lots of different body lotions and cleansing milks but not much in the way of ordinary face creams. Unless I'm not looking properly, which is always a possibility!
Would you believe M&S sells it?! I never thought of looking there. Given that their food departments here are so small, I would have thought they'd have more pressing priorities than tomato puree! But at least I've got it.
I've just rooted about in the bin for the receipt but I can't find it - I must have left it on the counter. But I think it was either 39 or 49kc. I seem to remember thinking when I saw it (in Chodov Marks) that it was about one pound sterling. Probably a lot dearer than the tinned sort but I think there's less waste with tubes anyway.
