hi from ukraine

    i'm jeff from america, but i live in the ukraine. has anyone done business with KLP Trade Company? i'm planning on paying them almost $9000. US to get me and my family to Prague.it's impossible for us to live here. wanted to get some feedback from people already living in Prague. i have a beautiful wife and 3 kids.we have to get out of the Ukraine. anyone willing to help or advise us, i would be grateful. :cry:

    because i met my wife online, got on a plane, got married, and have been stuck here for 2 and a half years

    It is such a big deal to move from Ukraine to Czechia? USD 9000? I kind of not understand...

    Yeah, I don't see the problem in it. You both can get working visa, so just apply for it and when you get it move. There's lot of real estate agencies that helps you find an apartment.

    According to the KLP web site, the 9000USD is for the whole family and they are supposed to get Czech citizenship. I would be suspicious - sounds dubious to me. From what I have read, getting Czech citizenship is a very difficult thing to do. :?

    Yes, you can't just pay to get Czech citizenship. My friend was obtaining Czech citizenship last year and one of the thing they need from you is perfect Czech. He had to do a Czech exam, reading newspaper article, answering questions about it plus speaking in Czech.

    Jeff2, if you are looking for a small quiet city with quite a few jobs, try Ostrava. The region is booming and building contractors are rarer than a snowball in Africa. I live in Novy Jicin, some 40 minutes away in the same region. People are more laid back and, I believe, more friendly than in Prague. Try recruitment websites for companies in Ostrava.
