After some googling I found those: „Když jste v Římě, jednejte jako Římané“ and "V Římě dělej to, co dělají Římané" -But I guess they are not the original phrase( I don´t hear it every day )..

I wanted to thank you who helped me with my presentation. I used all of your phrases. I think my instructor was very happy. She had not known that an apple is our American traditional gift to a teacher. That was my first gift, followed by a box of chocolates for putting up with my incessant questions in class and followed by flowers because I asked her to dance in front of class one day (a great Czech foxtrot was playing being used to teach verbs of motion). I could do this because I am stary muz of the class, much older than the instructor or the other students.
Scrimshaw, I'm just a born romantic. As long as the University lets me on to Czech 3, the points are just for self motivation. Ah, I'm so pleased that I actually think I understand that last adage and the reason behind it - I'm getting there.
