    Hello Folks,

I heard a broadcast on BBC radio recently, about English people travelling to Prague, for holidays and dental treatment. Reports said that treatment costs were a fraction compared to the UK, as was the cost of combining a vacation also.

Can anyone advise me on this, as I would give serious consideration to making a trip in the springtime. :)

I do not have much ideas on the costs generally, my health insurance covers most of them :)
However, just for comparison: the white filling costs me about 300,- CZK.

I don't know about the UK, but my fiance halfway considers going back to CR simply to get his needed dental work done. He said it would still be worth it- even WITH the cost of the plane ticket.

If you want the recommendation of an excellent English speaking dentist in Brno, let me know.

My 6yr ols had some minor surgery to remove a growth on his eye lid that our NHS said they would do in 6 months. He was getting teased at school, which was far more damaging than the actual item. Had it removed in Brno by a very good surgeon, left with no scar and our doctor commended the work when we went back.
Cost for Private in Uk. £850. (outpatient)
Cost in Brno £25. (outpatient) He now has no problem at school and is happy to go.

Please tell me the dentist, we are going back in 2 weeks and i need some work!!! Thanks

Sorry for the delay, the dentist in Brno is: Dr. Pavel Korinek, his surgery number is: (+420) 543242673.
He is fluent in English, a fine dentist and a nice guy. Highly recommended.
