Anetta Smrhova (aka Anetta Keys) she's a czech model. do a google images search (i cant post no pics here, they're a bit too explicit i think).

she looks very exotic. at first i thought she was a mulatta (like Alicia Keys), then Indian, but i think she's a czech with roma ancestry. can any czechs on here confirm what her ancestry is? i've seen many (v. beautiful :D ) czech models that have looked like they were mixed with Indian (i guess from Roma ancestry). i think i may have asked this somewhere else, but is it common for a lot of 'normal' czechs to have roma ancestry?

Igotbase, I gave you the benefit of a doubt but after this I suggest that you take your porn-anthropology research elsewhere.

Cechofil, your were right about this poster.

was just a question. not like i was posting porn pics. i didn't realise people were very strict and serious on here. im used to a more casual environment.

right about what? . i came here for information. by the look of things, The Czech Rep. and the EU (0 replies), Czech racial/ethnic diversity. & gypsies (0 replies). im not getting any answers. maybe this isn't a good board to ask my questions...

im sorry, eva. good bye. :(

Igotbase - if you mean goodbye, fair enough. There are plenty of topics on here that have zero replies. Some of mine included I think.

As for the porno stuff - why put the word explicit, it makes it sound you have a collection of pics that would possibly be considered just that.

This isn't about it being a serious board - there is plenty of casual stuff around, but sometimes people can be offended by stuff, and it is up to you to work out for yourself why it is being considered offensive. It has happened to me too, on other boards. I will always apologise if i've offended someone - I will think long and hard about any negative feedback I get and adjust my postings if need be. I will also stand up for myself firmly if I think I am in the right. It is a case of getting the balance right.

We're here to learn about Czech culture. Those here are from diverse backgrounds; inevitably the board has developed a culture of its own.

As it would be for me as an American walking into a room full of Czechs (or Estonians or Angolans) it would be wrong of me to make presumptions about my host culture, to impose my way of doing things on the group. Better to sit quietly and observe for a while rather than to simply behave as I might assume would be appropriate.

I think that's an important part of interacting with any new culture.

Maybe I'm making too big a deal of this, but I think igotbase's blunder (if I may call it that) was a good example of the kind of cultural gaffe we must all be careful not to make when entering a new group. This is a lesson that's relevant to this forum.

I think the same applies to any situation, whether it is different nationalities on a messageboard or everyday situations in general when we meet new people. When you start a new job for example, on your first day you are going to be surrounded by new people, all with different personalities. You are most likely to be spending the first day finding out how things are done, and what the rules are. And getting to know the people. Same with social situations at parties, except you are in a casual atmosphere, as opposed to work. And dinner parties, where a wrong word, and you can hear a pin drop! (I have done the last one many times in my twenties!)

Messageboards, in my opinion, should be the same, except it is a virtual environment. There is a diversity of personalities, beliefs and cultures, and it is easy to make a gaffe if you don't think. I've done it myself! Hopefully this post doesn't sound stupid, i am just trying to think of some analagies that would happen in situations in real life and compare it to messageboards.

Good Lord, the guy asked a normal question, related to Czech and was woman bashed! Don't take it, you were even polite enough to say you wouldnt post it here (although Google has no problem posting it) so dont be hypocritical girls...

What's with the hypocritical remark KJP? What are we being hypocritical about? Please explain your reasons, not just call it woman bashing! We are as much entitled to our opinions as you. As far as my posts go, say why you think I'm being hypocritical, and I'll give you an honest response.

KJP, I googled up Anetta Smrhova and got Sex with a Dog. Call me a hypocrite if you want but we are here essentially to answer questions about the Czech Republic.

Well, KJP! unless you have a very different version of google....

Anetta Smrhova is on many sites as a Czech porn star! (AKA Anetta Keys) The pictures I found on a normal search, not an image one were definitely hardcore pornography. I won't go into too much detail here about it as this place isn't the place to discuss porno stuff. Just saying I had a look myself and sure enough there it all is. So, KJP, perhaps you ought to adjust the filter on your pc to allow anything - then you may get the stuff we are talking about! Before you start laying into us women about our misdemeanors, look a bit harder on your search.

Probably get loads of pop ups now from porn sites.......

No, I pasted the results, and they are still the same, no filters and I dont use safe search either, but I dont think the point here is if she is a porn star, that seems apparent.

The point is the poor guy respectfully asked a question that WAS related to the Cz. Rep. (hey if the name isn't obvious, maybe the search results stating Cz. Rep. within would give it away) , got dissed for it, came back and apologized (albeit I am not sure why I felt he should) and then it continued...

Pop ups are not your problem...

    I can assure you it is malware :}

igotbase, I'm sorry you haven't received responses to your other two topics. I took a look at them and I think the reason you're not hearing back is not because the boards are too serious or your questions are in some way inappropriate or uninteresting (which they aren't) but because both those topics ask a lot of questions at once, some of them quite broad or even requiring research. All this can be overwhelming to people. We've had topics here before that weren't getting responses for a while for the same reason.

Google has no problem listing porn sites because Google users have the ability to filter out that kind of content from search results. These boards don't offer that ability. Whatever's posted here is displayed to everyone.

Yes, the malware that causes the pop up often come from accessing porno sites, that's what I meant! So long as I don't get a dialler, they're big trouble. You can also get a lot of malware via p2p sites, like Kazaa.

    KJP Well-Known Member

fro those of us wise enough to still have Kazza lite, it hasnt the ads...you can no longer get it though ( I saved a copy :)

    BTW- you seemed readily willing to admit that women were wrong in their attack (i.e. misdemeanors) :}}}}

  16. brigitte

    brigitte Well-Known Member

Sorry, KJP - I haven't been readily willing to admit anything regarding women being wrong. By using the word 'misdemeanors' I was meaning what you seem to think we have done! Everything I said I stand by. You haven't explained your reasons for your comments, like I asked you to. Yet you are still going on about it. All I can say is that it appears to be simply the fact some women have given an opinion, if male members had posted the same comments what would your answer be? KJP, you obviously have a problem with women's opinions, they are just as valid on these boards as the men's! To be honest, unless you come up with a good explanation for your remarks, then it makes your posts look very very sexist.

misdemeanors= a minor offense, they were your words and I did make my point clear: he asked a question about a czech related issue, politely, apolgizing even, and the rest is history....
I have no problem with womens opinions, when they are educated and empirical...

  18. brigitte

    brigitte Well-Known Member

Agreed, you stood up for him, saying he was only asking a 'czech related issue' - but to use the term 'woman bashed' was a bit strong, considering the female answers given were normal acceptable opinions. You could have simply put that you thought he was being unfairly attacked, and you disagreed with the posters whom you felt were against his posts, not just that he was being woman bashed! To say that you have no problems with women's opinions unless they are educated and empirical, means to me that so long as women post to suit your personal opinions of how they should be, fine. However, if a woman has a strong moral opinion about a certain issue brought up by a male, then she is to put up and shut up, right, otherwise it wouldn't be considered educated and empirical in your words.... I said I'd give an honest answer, now I have. Originally I asked you to explain why you think we are hypocrites, and i'm still waiting...

If it was men saying the same things, you probably wouldn't have said a word, simply because it was women voicing a strong opinion, then away we go.... It seems I am forever getting into heated debates on these boards, but when I feel something needs to be said I'll say it, if some men find it uncomfortable that a woman is voicing a certain opinion, then they have the problem. KJP, you called us hypocrites, yet you are one yourself - men can say what they like, but if women do....... Double standards.
