My lovely wife and I had our daughter baptized today in a US Army Chapel in Germany by the Catholic Pries. For those of you not aware, my wife is from Czech. When her child was baptized the parents of her ex held an ENORMOUS party. One tradition was to lay out all of the babies clothes and gifts, food, alcohol, etc for display, and the party lasted all night. Is this a typical Czech tradition or more Segonia (Roma or Gypsy if I spelled Segonia wrong).

After the baptism at Mass we came home and had a quiet dinner party with just the extended family.

What are the "traditional" Czech baptisms like?
