Hi all, I have a quick one you might be able to help me with "mezi přičhou a dřikem T" Is this "between the shaft and crossbar of a T" ? Thanks, Rob.
dřík a příčka are technical terms and their meaning can differ by branch of knowledge. Can you specify if it's about ancient arms, architecture, printing, puppet theatre, mountaineering?
Thanks for your help. I was specifically looking for their use in describing the oblique pericardial sulcus on the heart, i'm reading a czech text that suggest's it can be approached at an angle "mezi přičhou a dřikem T". If i'm reading it correctly at all! "přistupny uhel mezi přičhou a dřikem T" Rob
Unfortunately I didn't found anything related to heart. Strictly speaking, I believe that příčka is something what is crosswise dřík is something what is vertical or oblique So, if we talk about something with T shape, příčka can be horizontal line and dřík vertical line.
Yes, exactly, in typography dřík (= stem) is the term for the vertical line of letter T, and příčka is the term for the horizontal line.
But I would never use the word "dřík" here, I would even not understand it Officially the parts are "kůl a břevno" "Dřík" is used mainly in technical language
Brevo křest'anského kříže je kratší než jeho kůl. V kostelu, když katoliky chodí před oltářem, nebo než si sednou, je si zvyk klekat a dělat značku kříže.
