czech equivalents for paper title - help asap

Hi guys, (and gals)

I am frantically finishing up a paper on English in the CZ (OK, its due tomorrow!), and am working on some form of a title and was wondering if there was a Czech phrase similiar to or in the area of "jumping off point" or "stepping stone" or something like "embarking on ..." (the title really has nothing to do with the situation of Eng in CZ, but more of my present position; I am thinking about continuing this paper/area for further grad work) Thanks

Maybe "odrazový můstek" or "startovní čára" or "práh"?
