Aha, that fountain is dedicated to Samson from the Bible. I should have been able to figure that out.
Samson certainly doesn't sound like a czech name.
I wonder how different the american budweiser of today tastes than the original beer from Budějvice.

Samson doesn't sound like a Hebrew name as well.
The original name in Hebrew is Šimšon, Shimshon. Samson as well as Šimša (which sounds funny for the Czech ears) are common surnames in the Czech Republic.
I liked very much the Novoměstský kvasnicový ležák that I had in Prague's Novoměstský pivovar.
