    im trying to explain what yorkshire puddings are and i assume there is no equivalant in czech so i tried explaining what they are made of which is a batter mixture but i dont know the word for batter as in the mixture. Can anyone help me with my little problem please.

    I would recommend slané palačinkové těsto (salted batter for crepes). Actually, there is a traditional recipe in my family, identical to Yorkshire pudding, called (for unknown reasons) "páva". The trick was batter prepared in advance, poured into hot greased pan and baked in very hot oven. It was usually served plain with a large bowl of lettuce salad, namely in the spring when we had our first lettuce grown in the green house, and it was my dad´s favorite.

    I tryed explaining to my friend but she got stuck on batter, so i had to try and find it some other way and that recipe sounds nice.
