The most prestigious is probably the Rhode Island School of Design ( They have a graphic design program and from what I understand, offer opportunities for international students.

A good friend of mine was in the University of Texas at Austin's Design program ( and loved it (I think - she never complained anyway!). :) It's a huge school (about 50,000) but has quite a good reputation, not to mention Austin is simply a great place to live.

I don't know if it would help, but there is a complete list of graphic design programs in the US on Peterson's ( I don't know if you're looking for an undergraduate or graduate program, but all are searchable here.

    Good luck! :D

You can also try U.S. News and World Reports' College Finder. You can narrow your search by major, location, private/public schools, selectivity, financial aid/tuition costs, etc.

P.S. I'll second Austin as a great place to live. I grew up there. **Hook 'em Horns!**

You're making me nostalgic, Brook (particularly with the weather today in Rochester!).
