I would like to start a family Tree but it is very hard to find information because my Grandma was so young when she came over from Germany that she doens't remember most of her family.. here are some of the names if you could help it would be great thanks. My Grandma on my moms side is Hildegard Mullerova Born 1929 in Ceminy. Her Dad was Franz Muller or Mueller Born 1894 in Unesov, cast Lipa. Her Mom was Theresia roz Pazurkova Born 1896 in Unesov, cast Cban. My Grandpa on my moms side was Hans Eduard Wawerzin Born in 1920 in Liberec, His Dad was Johann Wawerzin Born 1900 in Liberec, Frantiskov. His Mom was Auguste roz Picova Born 1901 in Liberec.
Is that how you spell muller? Because I have a German Brother in law that has the last name Mueller,if so I may be able to help you.
I'm not sure, I have noticed that it could be spelled Mueller or Muller my Grandma doesn't know much about the family because she was so young when she came over here from Czech, She sent me her parents info and they spell the name on those sheets Muller but it is possiable that it is Mueller also.[/b]

Liberec is town at north Bohemia, before war the region was called Sudetenland and Liberec had also German name Reichenberg. If you want search your ancestors, you have to study archives. I see Ruzette and your message - your grandma was for 100% Müllerová. Because you not use diacritical marks, you can write "Mullerova" or "Muellerova", which is German style of writing of modifying vowels if double dot is not be possible write. Also, because date of your grandparents are at twentieth of 20.century, there sould be some documents, even if your grandma was very young, when they left motherland. Ellis Island Imigration records? Social records? Census? If you have birth records of grandparents, there definitely must be written, where and when the birth was taken. If you have this, it is very easy grab the thread and go further into history. If everything is OK, you can reach the mid of 17.century, just after Thirty Years War. Karel
