It took about one hour for me to translate such simple sentence.  The dictionary is here: http://www.zhongwen.com
Wow ! I thought that I should go to China tomorrow to learn some native Chinese. . It's only a short way to the North, I am luckier than you
Doman I would like to ask You: Japanese language Chinese language Korean language Vietnamese language Is there any continuity by those languages?? Can Korean (JAP,CH) native read or understand Vietnamese?
Nope, honestly, we don't understand each others at all. If they speak Chinese, Japanese, Korean to a Vietnamese who never had learnt those language, that Vietnamese understands nothing, and it's the same to the contrary. It's diffirent with Slavic languages, at least, they can understand something although they didn't learn those. And about script, Vietnam has used script that borrowed from Latin for long time ago, as Vietnamese language. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Indonesian, Thailandien...they use Latin just for transcribing phonetically to foreigners. You can read a little bit here or you can read Vietnamese tady Don't be disapoited by Vietnamese is none of hieroglyphics   _________________ "Vlk zmrzl, zhltl čtvrthrst zrn." Those languages are language isolates, i.e.: they have no known languages of the same family. The only thing in common is their writing system. All (I think) those languages use some Chinese characters. But contrary to the popular belief, it is impossible for them to understand one another only with writing. The structures of languages are completely different, the Chinese characters are somehow modified and... most importantly, their meaning may differ, especially in composites. There is a composite in Japanese and Chinese formed by the same characters meaning in both languages "hand" and "paper". In Japanese they mean together "a letter" but in Chinese they mean "toilet paper" (or vice versa, not sure) so... there are not many things in common. ad Eso: you must have made a mistake as you have the smiley and exclamation mark on right side but the arabic script is written from right to left. ! So, you are wrong
You're right completely, Martine ! Only this " ...they have no known languages of the same family..." These languages are in some families, but...no one understands the others
I know, but unfortunately forum software (or maybe Windows) decide text direction itself by alphabet style. Try select that text with mouse and you will understand.
Hehe, I can translate it now, Eso ! Ziesig excellent! And now-what تأكيدا كسيلنت! وعلى الذهاب! Lately Sorry, I changed my mind ! It didn't help with Arabic !
