My family is from the Hornacko region in SE Moravia circa 1900. I have been trying to contact someone from that area to take some digital photos of specific locations and to try and contact several families that I think are related to me. I have written to the obecni urad of Hruba Vrbka (where family vital records are kept) without success for about 10 years. I have also tried to contact anyone having an email address in the region. The result s always the same; ie, they cannot read or write in English. Does anyone have suggestions on how to make contact with someone locally who reads and writes in English? Are newspapers of any value in genealogy searches? :roll:
