Hi Everyone. My name is Teresa and I'm new here.

My question is the Czech views and practice of massage therapy? Is it widely or narrowly accepted? What does the general population think massage is useful for?

This is probably an unusual question but very personal to me as I am a massage therapist in Indiana. I've recently had the pleasure of dating a Czech man and have a growing interest in the culture.

Thanks for any information you might have. The more detailed you can be the better.

    Hi Teresa:

I don't think there is such a thing as general public opinion and I would never dare speak for other people in such a respect, but I believe massage therapy is fairly traditional in the Czech Republic. On the other hand it's not like everybody in this country has used it. To the contrary, I imagine majority of people have never undergone any massage therapy, myself included.

You may want to try to find out about massage facilities and services in the Czech Republic in English through web search.
