Hi everyone, I'm very glad I found this forum. I will be moving to Prague before end of this year for work. I hope to make some friends here and learn as much as I can about Czech.

As dzurisovak said Welcome to the forum and Welcome to Prague
I'm sure you'll make lot of friends here either native english or locals
And about the Czech language, it's a hard work to learn it, but it's worth it, the feeling when speaking Czech to people when you'll be here is just awesome

Thanx all for the warm welcome. Learning Czech is definitly my top priority when I arrive, I'm hoping to find a tutor. I will be staying in Czech long term for business.

I will be making my first trip there in September to search for an apartment, can someone give me some pointers as to what area is the best to live in (around Prague)? And what prices to be expecting? I will be looking for a 1 to 2 bedroom, haven't decided.

    Thanx all!

The price for renting a one bedroom apartment is from 6 to 10 000 Kc per moths, it depends where the apartment is.
