My Granfather??

    My grandfathers last name was Dvorak....Has anyone any ideas about how i can go about finding his family who were takin away to the salt camps during the early 1900s. I am desperate to find a link of some sort.

    That's very long shot, since Dvorak (Dvořák) is very usual Czech name.

    Write something more about that salt camp (e.g. where was it? - certainly not in the area of today's Czech Republic).

    i am not sure.I live in Australia and do not know much about Czech..I am just learning.So Dvorak is a common name there?His first name was George.I dont even know where he lived with his family : ( I know he fought in the war.

    Which war? WW I started 1914, WW II 1939

    1939 .Then he came back to Australia and sadly took his life when my ma was only 2 yrs old. Have just come to the possibility that his family were possibly taken to the DP camps too.

    His wifes name was Barbara Mc Farlane.I am not sure if they married here or in Czech.
