    That reminds me of the unfortunate girl that asked on this forum about Czech wedding customs and get the first reply from me. I do not think she has ever since returned to this forum... :oops:

    Yes, the Czech wit can be shocking to those Americans (and others) not used to sarcastic humor. There should exist an emoticon for witty sarcasm, so that people won't confuse the intent of such humor.

    The Czech wit is the first thing that attracted me to my husband. However, it doesn't come across as attractive on a computer screen. I guess the facial expressions and tone of voice say a lot!

    In that case if you ever heard (and saw at once) me say the word "cool" (which is used in Czech in its English form by those who would like to be more... cool... by using anglicisms), you would probably marry me as well :lol:
