    Hey All

I know that we cannot predict the weather so long in advance, but can anyone who has been to Prague over Christmas (24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 Dec) tell me what the weather is generally like during that time of year. I am aware that if the weather is right it could snow at that, which I'm really hoping as it would be great to have a white Christmas. I'm just curious as to what the weather conditions are like because I hope it's not likely to rain the entire time we there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all in advance :D

    Hi Chantelle,

Like you say, it is hard to predict what the weather will be like a month from now. White Christmas is very romantic and people always hope for it but in fact it is not something you can count on unless you're going to be in the mountains or at least at a higher elevation. Christmas can be rainy and muddy. There's a Czech saying that goes like this: "St. Catherine on ice, Christmas on mud" (St. Catherine's Day is Nov. 25), so if you trust the folklore wisdom, you can see what the weather's like on Nov. 25 and go from there. :)

I suggest you check the weather forecast closer to Christmas time to get a somewhat correct prediction.

I hope you have a great time in Prague!
