    hello
i will be traveling from the states to prague via london. i was initially planning on taking the train via brussles or paris but from what i can judge online train ticket prices are about 2x as much as plane. $556 vs $261. is this more or less the norm?
i thought the train might be more picturesc but the price sure aint right.
    any thought?

With the recent boom of low cost airlines in Europe, flying is becoming cheaper and cheaper. And it was about time. So yes, I think train travel can be more expensive than flying these days.

The train ride would certainly be picturesque, but takes 18-20 hours as opposed to a flight that takes 2.5 hours.

Have a great time in Europe!
