I really admire cities with such extensive mass transit. Anybody can catch a metro to any station leaving in any direction. I'm not the biggest world traveler but I did get a chance to ride the unterbahn in Frankfurt. I was impressed with those too. The rails are such efficient people movers. Like Glen has stated earlier though, such mass transit is nonexistent in Florida. It probably would be impossible with Florida's very high, close to the surface, water table.
If you area metro fan..u've got to visit Paris Metro....its crazy..so efficient...I was literally schocked... But I love to ride the cooler way..the czech favorites The legendary "Pzisti Zastavka's" The amazing wonderful trams..I just love them.
Paris Metro is weird, so many and so long tunnels when changing, and seats so small with so little place for your legs, comparing with London or Prague for instance. When possible use RER instead - better trains, more space - when in Paris. Btw. does anybody know the bus stop in the tunnel just under the Orly South Terminal? This is sooo pretty place!
