Is it worth a jolly down the river to said castle? It looks quite away down the river but if it's worth the trip, then I'd appreciate any feed back.

I think it is worth it but it is only my personal opinion.

If you decide to go there then do not miss the opportunity to see chapel of Holly Cross. It is not included in the standard tour.

Thanks for the replies, and that photo makes it seem worth going alone!

When I went there I had to make a reservation for the tour 2 including the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

as its winter and not really the height of traveling season i would assume the crowd would not be that big and there is an english tour you could take its 50 czech kurun to take the train there which i say is worth it the tour is 200 kurun i went with kids from my language program a few months ago and loved it but remember the closer to the castel the more expensive things become

I enjoyed the tour when I was there, but I was there in August, when it was warmer.

The castle looks beautiful, certainly one I would want to see.

I enjoyed your expression...'a jolly down the river'
    Classic english.
