I have been communicating with a Czech man for almost a year. He recently came to USA to meet me. We liked each other immediately. He has asked me to visit him in Prague and I need to know if I should learn the language for my short stay or if English is practiced. Also, is there a "dress code" for women ( no short skirts, etc.) Thanks, Linda
If you're only here for a short time you can get by without Czech because English is very common in most tourist spots. However, learning hi, bye, thanks etc would be worthwhile. Try this site for language tips. http://www.locallingo.com/ Your question about dresscode? Short skirts and revealing clothes are the norm here, there's no way you could offend anyone by what you wear. Have fun, as I'm sure you've heard, Prague is fantastic.
Darian Dekuju mockrat for the reply. I want my friend to know I appreciate his culture and feel it is respectful to know and understand a few words. I am trying! I know I will enjoy Prague. I am anticipating a great trip!
