My great grandmother Emilie Subik came to Galveston Texas USA in 1914. She was born Oct. 6 1892 in Czech. She joined her brother Antonin (John) Subik who was already in Texas. She left behind one other brother Ladislav and 3 sisters Frantiska Mackova, Zofie Ryznarova and Stepanka Uherkova. I do not think her other brother and sisters ever came to the USA. Her parents were Antonin and Emilie Subik of Kojetine and died in 1949 and 1948. I believe they worked in some type of grocery store or pasty shop. My great grandmother married Karel Mikus in the USA. If anyone has any information on this family I would love to hear from you!

Just a guess - the place is probably Kojetín, which is situated between cities Vyškov and Zlín, on the north side of (unfinished yet) motoway D1. However there are several more vilages sharing this name in here.
