The Tikalsky name is not common in the Czech Republic now days, but does still exist there today. The area near trebon named after the family has no recorded history to it as far as I can find. I can trace my family back to the 1700s but no further, the only information on them comes from Hrdlorezy and Suchdol nad Luznici. Nothing I have found has a tie to U Tikalskych, during my research with another family member he informed me that the family was able to get a cash donation from Franz Joseph the Austrian Emporer in the late 1800s for construction of a church in Wisconsin. If the family was land owners at one point why cant I find anymore recorded history or am I not looking in the right places?
