Looking for family line Maly Kocandrle Vitova Kapsen

Postby MalyVitova » 06-Jul-08 23:12

My great, great, great grandfather and down:

Vojtech (Adelbert) Maly married Alzbeta Kocandrle in Plzen

Vojtech son - Josef Maly married Maria Vitova (daughter of Vit and Smolkova)

Josef son - Adolph Maly married Anna Kapsen in Prague.

I am coming to Prague in Sept 2008 and would love to meet anyone in my family line!

Please email me if you have information on any of the family names listed.

All the best!

The names you have mentioned are all fairly common in Plzeň. Here are the results of whitepages searches for those names in the Plzeň region:

Kočandrle/Kočandrlová (33)
Vít/Vítová (78 )
Malý/Malá (87)
Smolek (5) and Smolková (7).

Good luck! It's a lot to sift through and digest, but I hope it helps.

MalyVitova: According to the book, "Czech Footprints" by Albert J. Blaha, Sr., one or more Maly families settled in Texas and came from the Moravian village of Rokytnice. He shows Vita families coming from the Moravian village of Koprivnice.

Malý and Vít are very common surnames throughout the Czech Republic, not only in Plzeň and Moravia.
