OK, I know that's not at all how it's spelled, but since traveling to Prague, I've tried in vain to understand what the announcement is as the metro pulls in to a new station. Can anyone (a) spell it, and (b) translate it, and put me out of my misery?

It says "Ukončete, prosím, výstup a nástup"

meaning "Finish getting on and off board, please"

In fact it is a little bit longer:

Ukončete, prosím, výstup a nástup, dveře se zavírají.
Finish getting on and off board, please, the doors are closing.

The word "výstup" (exit) is omitted when the train is going from the first station on the line.

Thanks, Alexx...exactly what I wanted to know. Now, what is said when announcing the next station. Sounds something like, "Ukončete, prosím, výstup a nástup, Flora."
