Hi All I am new here and just started learning the beautiful language. Does anyone know if there is a good talking dictionary which pronouce the Czech words correctly like a native? Enjoyed reading the many forums and found some of the links really good TID
Our sister site Local Lingo has an albeit limited set of audio files for word pronunciation on its Pronunciation Guide. From there you should be able to get the idea of how to pronounce most vowel and consonant sounds and blends. I don't know of any site that will have a large database of words with audio pronunciations in Czech.
There exist electronic "speaking translators": http://www.australiaonline.cz/elektronicke-slovniky I have found one czech textbook for foreigners with audio on CD, unfortunately for german speaking students: http://www.leda.cz/t/nemcina.php
Hi. Most good textbooks have audio on CD. I have three different textbooks (Czech/English), all with audio on CD. Just have a look in the bookstore on this site. Regards
Thanks for all the replies. they have been really useful. I hope they are also are useful to other new members. Thanks
Recently, somebody posted here a link to a little medical talking dictionary. I found it (this link). It was Calvario in this thread.
