I have read an article - Paris Match #2953, 2005-12-22--28 - about four Czech fashion models - Tereza MAXOVA and her colleagues Petra NEMCOVA, Daniela PESTOVA, Veronika VAREKOVA - who have founded an orphanage for abandoned children. I think they deserve our praise. I suppose they are well-known in their country, but I must confess this is the first time I hear of them. According to statistics, 1 new-born out of 167 is abandoned at birth. At the present moment, there are about 16,000 orphans or abandoned children in Czech orphanages.
