Hi, I'm a Czech-American living in Chicago. My last name is Nerad. Was wondering what meaning that had in Czech. Thanks!
Hi ban310 and welcome to the boards! I noticed your post and saw that it needed a little cleanup. I moved the topic to a forum that's better suited for your second question (since that question has already received an answer) and am answering your other question below. Next time, please try to post only one question per forum. The word nerad is an adverb and means "not to like", "unwillingly", "grudgingly". It is the opposite of rád - "with pleasure", "gladly", "willingly". "On nerad lyžuje". - "He doesn't like to ski." "On nerad pomáhá lidem." - "He doesn't like to help people". (he's unwilling to help) If you'd like to continue with this topic, please feel free to post in Vocabulary & Translation Help. Thanks, My Czech Republic
