Hey jusy seeing if anyone can let on of any good restaurants away from the crowds yet still central Prague. Went to one last year somewhere past the US embasy, amback in a few weeks and want to show friends the hidden gems of prague!
Depending on your pocket (this one is not cheap) you can dine on the top floor of a Gothic tower just a few steps from the Vaclavske namesti. The restaurant (Zvonice) is at the end of Jindrisska ulice. There is only one tall tower so you can't miss it. The food is excellent, I really liked it. If you want, I can send you their website with menu and prices.

You'll have to take the funicular up the Petrin Hill (that's a short, fun ride) and get out before it reaches the summit. I'm not sure about the food because it's under a new management but for sheer romance it's the top. http://www.nebozizek.cz/
