Hi! My husband and I are American and we're planning our daughter's wedding in the Czech Republic. We are not real wine connoisseurs and don't know much about wine - except that we like it! We are at a loss when it comes to the question of what wine to serve at the wedding. Do you have any recommendations for a good Czech red and white? And champagne, of course! Thank you!
For champagne, Bohemia Sekt is probably the best known producer and they have some good bubbly. I am not able to recommend a specific red or white wine, but two producers I feel offer some good Czech wines are Znovin Znojmo and SSV Velke Pavlovice. A helpful website that discusses Czech wineries is at: http://www.inf.upol.cz/~skoupil/light/wine/producers.html Congratulations and enjoy!
