Hi everyone! My great-grandmother was 100% Czech, and when my mother lived with her for a few years growing up she taught her how to make "pupeky". My mother in turn, taught me how to make them when I was very young. Here's the problem...what are "pupeky" and how do I make them (my mom and I have since forgotten the recipe)??

I looked up "pupeky" and I think it means "bellybuttons". The cookies were round and golden, and I remember we pushed our thumb down in the middle to make a place for apricot preserves. Does anyone know if these are similar to kolachy? Any help in deciphering this cookie mystery would be greatly appreciated! :D

These are called Linecké koláčky. They are common in Czech bakeries and shops.

Eso, do you know where I can find an English recipe for these? Thanks again!
