My father was from Velim but died in a fire in 1996, I am trying to apply to gain my czech citizenship but having trouble translating the documentation (which is only the first step as I still have to track down the names of his parents) - it is very challenging, is anyone willing to assist if I post jpg or gif or pdf scans of the documentation ?

It was given to me by the Czech Consulate in Sydney - and I don't know the process of applying, but it has something to do with a birth number.

Well, post the images (or rather just links to them), we'll see if we are able to help [IMG]

In case you don't know what a birth number (rodné číslo is) - it's a unique number, given to each Czech at birth. It's used as a reliable identification, similar to the social ID in US.

they are in PDF format but i can post them in jpg if you have trouble with pdf (they will print a little more reliably in PDF)

if you can help at all it would be greatly appreciated.
