Ahoj. I tried to translate the following sentence. nechtěli byste taky už něco ztratit My translation is You should not want something to lose. I am sorry but I don't understand the word "taky". Would someone help me about it ?
Dekuji !!! taky -> také ? May I have one more question ? Co je "hecoval" ? I found the sentence "hecoval kamaráda". But I could not find the word in my dictionary. :'-(
jo, "taky" == "také" "hecoval" is {3rd person, singular, past tense} of "hecovat". "hecovat" is in the colloquial czech and means "to provoke".
Ahoj. Dekuji, Ladis. >jo, "taky" == "také" I understand. >"hecoval" is {3rd person, singular, past tense} of "hecovat". "hecovat" is in the colloquial czech and means "to provoke". There are lots of words which aren't in the dictionary Moc dekuji ! !
They are in dictionaries but you must use the German one. Some Czech - German verbs: hecovat - hetzen pucovat - putzen fajrovat - feuern šmajchlovat - schmeicheln šmakovat - schmecken špásovat - spaßen šaltovat - schalten šmírovat - schmieren štrikovat - stricken šmirglovat - schmirgeln verbovat - werben koukat - kucken vandrovat - wandern rajzovat - reisen rajtovat - reiten jódlovat - jodeln rámovat - rahmen fládrovat - fladern děkovat - danken (< denken) - (very old loan word) and many others
Ahoj Zeisig >They are in dictionaries but you must use the German one. Thank you very much for these nice examples. I will check them.
It is me again. I am sorry but I can't find the meaning of following word. pohodových > (pohodový ?) Would someone help me ? the line is Prožil jsem zatím pět pohodových dnů. My translation is (I spent 5 pohodových days so far )
"pohodový" = chill-out, pleasant (I think), thus "Prožil jsem zatím pět pohodových dnů" is "I spent 5 pleasant days for the present". BTW "Japonska" in your Profile / Location should be "Japonsko", if it's Japan, and about your signature, "Mam rada cesky!" should be "Mám rád češtinu!" (if it should mean "I like Czech (language)!"; use "ráda" instead of "rád" if you are a female)
