I am thinking about taking a 2-day trip to Kracow, and would love to hear any recommendations on hotels -- reasonably priced, preferably. :D

I've heard that Auschwitz (sp?) is a must-see (although probably as depressing or more so than Terezin), but what else should I not miss?

    Any tips appreciated!

btw if you plan to go by car don't pick anything lighter than a humvee. I was in Auschwitz last weekend and after the tough winter the polish "roads" are in such a bad state I almost lost my exhaust pipe.

Yes, fabik317's salt mine in Wieliczka is a real "must-see". I think it is more interesting than Auschwitz/Oświęcim/Osvětim (GER/POL/CZE).

    Another interesting place is Częstochowa.

But Kraków (Kraków/Krakov/Krakau/Cracow [POL/CZE/GER/ENG] - never Kracow ) itself is enough for two days.
