    Capisco un piccolo

    and spanish (a lot)

and american sign language (a lot)

    and french (a little)

bits and pieces of a few others

and now, a little czech too :)

My neighborhood is multi-lingual and I regularly read a local newspaper called "La Gaceta" which has articles in spanish, italian, and english - claims it is the country's only tri-lingual newspaper and has been in publication since 1922.

and, I agree - if you are Czech born and have a degree in Czech language, then it is not so complicated (although judging from some of the discussions here, maybe that is not so true either  )

More languages I know, I understand more from languages I do not know, especialy slavic or romanic. I remember I read table on the wall in Hungary written in Esperanto :) without difficulties.

Do you know if there's someone that uses esperanto in the world today, or this project was completely abandoned?

I consider esperanto as a very interesting idea....it's a pity that it had no success...
