In 1990, I took a tour of two small Bordeaux wineries through the city's Tourist Bureau. We were taken by bus in a small group and were able to speak with the proprietaire (owner) and buy some wine. It was a good deal, lots of fun, and educational. There's a nice website for Bordeaux at: http://www.bordeaux.com What are your wine tour experiences?
My husband and I make regular visits to the Napa Valley in Northern California. We go there at least twice a year and always discover wineries that are new to us. We love the cozy little ones as well as the ones bustling with tourists. On our last visit, we met a couple from France and it was interesting to hear their comparison of wine tours in France and in the USA.
