They came circa 1909 bringing trouble and pain with them .
They soon bought up most of the old Crapo farm driving out all the real native born Americans int he area . All of a sudden the area was a hotbed of foreigners establishing there old world language and forcing there culture on all real Americans .
The hotbed was Reid Road where the more radical Czech invaders had farms .Soon they brought the old school house ( renaming it of all things THE FREINDSHIP CLUB  ) where they partied as well as taught there children evil things such as Czech chauvinism, devil worship , and poppy growing to fuel America's emerging drug problem .
That wasn't all, they were robbing area farmers ( including here in Durand ) and travelers between Flint and the state capitol in Lansing .Nobody was safe and fear reigned , the Ku Klux Klan tried running them out but the Czechs scared the Klan away . Eventually they ceased to rob innocent passerbys & farmers instead becoming labor racketers in the fledgling United Auto Workers Union .By 1940 at least 15 % of every local auto workers pay went into the pockets of those foreign born labor racketeers  
The community continues still a hotbed of evil ............reports say it is the focal point of the state's drug trade, militia movement ,and many local Czech ethnics still have photos of Joseph Stalin in there homes !!!!

Real native Americans was at that time already driven out by those "real native born Americans"

Real native Americans was at that time already driven out by those "real native born Americans"
